Produced by Aleix Garriga (La Llar de Folk) and mastered by Andrew Mendelson (Georgetown Masters, Nashville, TN), ‘Lost In The Fields’ (Temps Record, 2021) aims to be an eclectic representation of Country Music.
A melting pot full of ingredients extracted from the music of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, George Jones or Alan Jackson among many others.
Believe it or not, this album was born in the hills of Catalonia, Europe. So it also carries its spirit of freedom, hard-work and tradition on it. All the musicians that took part of this endeavour are born in (or adopted by) this little Mediterranean country; and at the same time they adore American music and tradition.
This debut album is full of songs about loving and leaving, heartaches and honkytonks. Songs about life. You can easily find the crying sound of the pedal steel guitar (Aleix Garriga) and the fiddle (Quim Lamarca, Joana Gumí and Laura Pacios). Or even precious guitar riffs that remind both French and Mexican tradition (Mario Rico). Or a piano that will bring you straight to a honkytonk bar (Xavi Balaguer). Not to mention the special touch of Xavi Vilà (Drums), Dimas Corbera (Bass), Cisco Garriga (Trumpet) and Lali Arbolí (Vocals). Music played from their heart to reach the heart of those who listen.
